Audiobook!! Giving me sorta the wedding people vibes so far

Loving this. Family dynamics written that feel real even if the exact circumstances have a haze of movie magic over them. Characters with earnest motivations and feelings that are plausible, situation that's ever so slightly implausible is a perfect recipe for me

Thought this book was going to be another memoir about a life spent running so it sat on my shelf for a while. When I picked it up it's actually an examination of philosophy and virtue ethics and how running (and to some extent sports in general) interplays with virtue - shaping and developing virtues like discipline, but also the ways ethics shape sportsmanship, sometimes in contradiction with performance etc.

Predictable and delectable

Slow burn. Gonna have to chart the progress just for the dopamine release. I'm determined.

Such clever and subtle satire so far. Very witty but interjected in a way that doesn't hit you over the head with it!

Apparently I am (distantly) related to the author of this book so I have been tasked with giving it a go. So far the prose is beautiful

If the infinity stones plot line was for book nerds instead of comic book nerds

Not sure I'm loving this but the thing with thrillers or mysteries is that you get justttt invested enough to have to finish it?
And it's an audiobook so not tooo much effort to finish
