Writing is meh but I’m absolutely apPALLED that this is the first time I’ve ever heard of “The American Plan.” What a vile part of women’s history that has been brushed under the rug. I literally had to google like wait wtf this is real?!

I’m 1/3 of the way through this novel and it’s incredible. I have so many thoughts and love so much of the book already. Someone pls read this so I have someone to talk to about it

I HAVE to comment on this lol. The mother-son relationship, written from Olivia’s perspective, sorta made her sound like one of those moms who was obsessed with her son? Like in love with her son haha. At least in the beginning. Sorta past that now but def in the intro chapters.

Yup it is very convincing. I will say, many of the studies he cites were done in vitro or with a very small sample size so I’m not taking every word as doctrine. However, I do think that whether or not his claims are completely accurate, it literally will not hurt you to eat more veg. And such a great reminder that I’m not eating near as many plants as I should!
S/O Trader Joe’s for my veg shopping trips
