So far really good.

It’s always princesses. Monday’s story was about how Belle got a new puppy but the ottoman got jealous (because it was once a puppy that was also cursed by a witch and turned to furniture for some reason).

So, we read chapter one tonight, The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe, and the 1800s writing style is not my jam. We made it through, and we’ll try and keep pushing for chapters before bed. Might be too long for the kiddo and turn to a solo read.

It’s slow going. Well written for the time, but a little stale for my modern attention span. I proceed.
