Can't say I like the audiobook narrator very much.

Only managing a few chapters a day with work right now. Might switch over to audio. Very slow burn with a lot of info but also, a lot has happened already though so wondering what all else is still going to.

So I got this cause I thought of the shit my friend went through with her thesis and how she'd most definitely have gone after her professor as well.

This is nothing like my usual reads, both in genre and writing style but I'm enjoying it. Time and plot will tell, though I have hopes.

At this point, I feel like I should be on payroll with the number of errors I’ve had to flag. Never underestimate the value of a solid beta team and a sharp-eyed copy editor.

I really really wanted to love this but I feel like I'm staying to skim read it more and more. It's just so repetitive.

I really wish Knight keep a style book or have editors/betas who pick up on glaringly obvious continuity issues. I mean if you describe a scene in down to the piercings detail you can't later on say it's the first time. A few times even things in the same chapter are duplicates or with a slight difference like she forgot.

Whoever edited this is probably the same as DoV. It has the same issues.

She confuses me. Her whole personality confuses me.

On the fence, I'm enjoying it but they feel super childish sexually. Constantly monologuing their lustful feelings. We get it. Now let's get that over with already and move on to the good stuff like being chased by jungle creatures.

Urgh, I wish I had more reading time! Having to put it down everytime to do adulting shit is damn hard 😭😭😭
