ugh seeing ilyas joy abt getting a dog is how i know im going to be when i move out and get a cat. i think about that constantly. ive thought about that for years. i need one so badly i could cry thinking about it

i love how this book gives the vibe that there will always be a happy ending. it’s nice to read feel-good books,but maybe this is a hot take - i just find it slightly unrealistic. spoiler warning - the guy in charge tells them not to make a big deal about coming out & is clearly against it, but somehow everyone’s supportive abt those who did come out ? i’m happy for them ov but it just seems too unrealistic idk

the way ilyas depression is written about with his well-being fluctuating is SO REAL and i just love this book sm. i’ve never read a book where a character has depression before and i think i might read more with it because it just feels so understanding and comforting in a way

UGH the beginning of ilya’s mental health issues are so real. this book is so well written.

ugh my tender heart is already starting to ache after the first two chapters

the fact that the book starts with a warning about suicide and depression. oh girl my heart is not ready for the sadness.

idk what i was expecting from an anthropology class, but im very happy w it ! i love learning about ancient things ! the majority of this textbook has been about ceramics which at times can be boring, and ive skimmed through some paragraphs, but overall i haven’t really disliked doing my readings

finally onto act two ! this play is so weird. honestly all of beckett’s work that i’ve seen is really weird

omg shane referring to their relationship as “the long game” and that being the title of their other book together is iconic ! i love rachel reid’s writing

AHHH the scene where he is hurt is SO MUCH BETTER IN THE BOOK THAN THE SHOW

the way twice now the guys knew the other was present without having to look, they could just sense who it was, reminds me sm of the song of achilles quote and is making me want to reread that
