reading this for my anthropology course LOL

as im trying to read more i’m going through books that people have given me first. s/o elnathan for buying me this book for christmas ! anyways i love smaller books because they fit perfectly in my bag and i can power through them on the bus

i’m not saying much on here, but trust me i’ve been annotating the heck out of this book on the pages

this book is good ! but i just cannot force myself to finish it despite my efforts. i think just knowing im only reading it bc its assigned reading for my english class is making it less fun engaging :/

i am so interested in how much connell worries about what other people could potentially think of him !! the way he cares sm abt how his gf makes him sound and look in public and esp how he crosses out things and edits parts of his personal journals incase in the future someone looks through them. he is a very interesting character and at times i see a bit of myself through him - for better and for worse
