oh mrs sharpe and sheila do i hate u both....... as for mrs sharpe i'm not really surprised that she might've told the catchers where peter and anna went but shelia on the other hand.. just pure evil.. and she still feels entitled to have left with anna and live on the outside.. but anyway i feel bad for both these characters because they felt the need to rat anna and peter out after being forced to basically :(

one thing i will say is that peter and annas' escape felt too easy but i really do hope that they'll be alright and they can make it to their destination safely. what makes it scarier is the chilling feeling i got when anna suggested staying at mrs sharpe's summer house.. it doesn't feel like a good idea, even if it's just for one day but again, i hope they keep out of dangers way

i really do love how easy it is to get lost in this book, despite it's sad and dark setting. reading the conflict between tania and anna during the game really drew me in and made me feel like i was there watching the horrifying sight, to see how the girls completely immersed themselves into their roles even after it was over really shows how deep they're into the propaganda and that's what's the most terrifying

sigh where do i even begin.. i don't see how laurel could want to skip her only daughter's wedding >_< plus i don't see how getting married so young is a good idea (but hey what do i know right!) and last, i really wish i could skip all this bc i get second hand embarrassment from seeing how blind belly and jere are about all this, laurel is right (to an extent of course..) but it still pains me to see all of this...

i don’t understand how her friends can let go of what jeramiah did and let her marry him 😭 but at the same time i don’t think there’s any stopping belly so wtv

seeing how belly talked about how it was scary to potentially not always have taylor around really stuck w me bc i know how it feels to become not so codependent on a friend, it's scary and makes u wonder scary things, when really it's the oppositie. i'm glad they were able to end up at the same school and still be friends.. i really do think it was fate

just a little thought while i start reading.. belly saying that her relationship w jeramiah is a ''perfect" relationship bc she's basically able to do things that she couldn't w conrad is so crazy bc i think she would've able to do and feel all those things w conrad if she really wanted to.

nothing much to say other than that jeramiah really doesn’t know when to stop and just let things go, he just wants to start fights w conrad bc he’s jealous, especially since belly still likes conrad. i feel like he contradicted himself by saying that conrad still likes belly then saying that “maybe now she’ll like me now that he’s not in the way” u just said she’ll go back to him no matter what 😭

i really hated how mr fisher said that selling the house was bc of susannah, i really don't think she would've wanted that. conrad is very misunderstood imo he doesn't want to drag others into things he's trying to fix, maybe its pride who knows but yet at the end of the day we all have our pride.. jeremiah on the other hand is quite selfish and immature, he never wants to take the blame for his actions. atp it's wtv

i don't understand how belly could ever doubt that conrad doesn't have genuine feelings for her/doubt her love for him, especially seeing how she talks about her moments with him. (especially at the beach house in dec) i hate how she thought he wanted to end things at prom, when he just had so much on his mind, like his mother. (when carrying that weight, i think it makes u turn into a diff person at some point)

even though i’m reading the book after watching the show, it still feels new to me and i love how u can understand the characters more and get more detail

what the actually freak……. so much just happened idk how i can process that… she kisses jeremiah and then her brother is making out w her best friend like two pages later🧍‍♀️anyways i can see why ppl say she complains abt everything like a five yr old but since there’s only 75 pages left i just wanna know who she ends up w or if she ends up w anyone bc she needs to make up her mind i fear…

ahh the way cam just admitted how he felt in the car was so sweet !!! but why does she keep comparing everything that happens w cam to conrad and jeremiah -_- but again somehow i’m not really bothered by that since everything is new to her and they’re the only boys she’s known but idk
