Personality wise, the FMC really has no redeeming qualities. She’s awful. She was a whiner before the trauma and good lord was she insufferable after. Somehow, her selfish sister was even worse!

So far the FMC just has obsessive thoughts of things that aren’t true about the MMC. Lots of assumptions. She sucks.

This author does a wonderful job writing the inner turmoil of characters with mental health issues and the impact they have on interpersonal relationships. I first noticed in the Doormen of The Upper Eastside series and they do an outstanding job again. If you came for the spice, I’d say this is tame compared to the authors previous work.
