the little baby blue dress doll craves V I O L E N C E

this is such a fun light read so far, I'm really enjoying it

this book is written in such a soothing way

oh gosh this is SUCH a delight to read. a perfect glimpse into times gone by, but at the same time they do feel extremely close. it's lovely.

oooh the plot is thickening... I think I'll breeze through this one now

Nadal mega słabo, Boże, ta książka jest chyba po prostu pisana z nienawiścią do chłopów, takie mam wrażenie

daaaaaamn I wish I didn't have to go to sleep so I could keep reading ngl

still super one-dimensional, jesus fucking christ. this is like having to sit through someone giving a social history class and omitting more than half the story and most of the context just to give some quotes which fit their narrative. fucking hell.

As someone with ancestry within the working rural class in Eastern Poland I'm getting a sense that this book is written from a VERY biased perspective...

damn, the plot thickens

this is such an easy and enjoyable read, and sooo well written. somehow I wasn't expecting that last part. can you guess this is my first Chuck Tingle book 😂

this is such a refreshing, well-written book to pick up after the awful writing in My Husband's Wife

Reading this after watching Querelle is a spiritual experience

Ok but the emotional responses to Torrington? I'm feeling the same, and I've never been anywhere close to Beechey. Something something the human condition that makes us care for each other...
