DNFed reallll quick. Very light on the plot, very heavy on the smut. But ironically, I don’t think there’s much chemistry between the mcs 😩

3rd time reading this and still loving it. We’re just about to read about Violet and Xaden sparring for the first time 👀

So far, I’m not sure if I like this or not. I’m conflicted. I think the storyline has good bones and had the potential to be really good. However, so far it feels like everything has gone too fast. Like legit, have a missed 3 chapters?

Not ready to dnf just yet, we shall see how it goes from here .. 🤞🏼

I’m just reeeeeally not feeling this book. I’m so disappointed, I was so looking forward to this read but I think im going to DNF it so I can move on to a better book. I don’t even care that I’m 62% into it. I’ll DNF it whenever!

This hasn’t put me off Lauren Asher as an author, but I just know this one isn’t a hit for me.

I’m getting stressed now. I’m 83% into it and Hunt has just been taken to the Summit… how do they help him with 17% left!!!?!

So far I’m still very intrigued, and looking forward to the story progressing. However, this book already feels very long. There’s so much detail and so many aspects that I’m trying to get my head around… I wonder if that feeling will cease

The way Elsie Silver has been able to write this elaborate description of the land surrounding Wishing Well Ranch is so, so good. I’m completely immersed already. The imagery I’m able to conjure up in my brain because of Elsie’s words go a long long way to make it believable. What a positive start!!

I love how this book gives you everything you need. Yes the romance and tension is hot but the storyline between friends and cadets also keeps you interested and committed to this world. Throughout this book I love scenes like this. So far, there’s no Xaden and Violet interactions, it’s just about the squad and how they work together.

I knew he would be one of the first to properly acknowledge she’s more than what gossip suggests. She’s feisty not frail, and he sees her for what she is. AHHHH

Violet is constantly reminded how brittle she is. How fragile and breakable she is. I didn’t realise it the first time I read FW, but wow, she has to deal with a lot of noise from people voicing their concerns. She is so headstrong to keep pushing through. Just having the confidence to believe in her own ability makes her so much stronger than anyone could fathom. She never cracks.
