What happened on October 3rd? I do like the small moments where they support each other. It’s sad how Brooke feels lonely due to her parent’s lack of attention.

Idk why I feel like the maid (forgot her name) might know something about the blackmail on Kal? There’s so much info being spilled out.

First five chapters, I’m very interested in Kal’s life. Who’s stronger and wealthier than Elena’s father? Who are the ‘Elders’? Who exactly is after her now? I do like how sassy Kal is, makes me laugh. Even the authors annotations make me laugh.

I’m curious on what the devil and Ibles meant at the start of this book. Also, the animals with half eaten apricots? The postponed wedding? Cyrus disappearance? What is going ON.

Ch30-35: As if the arson wasn't sooooooo obvious. Billy threatened them so many times and it takes them this long to put all the pieces together? The proposal was not what I expected either but it is understandable after what Niko and Vivian went through.

Ch25-30: I enjoyed knowing more of Shayla's side of the story about her marriage with Billy. Finally knowing the reason why she won't/can't leave. A part I didn't enjoy is the amount of time skips there are in such a short amount of pages. I wanted to see more of Niko's and Vivian's relationship as time went by, I wanted to know exactly when Niko wanted to move forward and propose. There is just a lot of missing info

Ch20-25: The miscommunication in these chapters are insane. Niko keeps leaving without a word, Vivian believes he leaves for good each time. It's a constant toxic cycle. I get that Niko has a hard time talking about his emotions; however, he keeps saying he trusts Vivian and loves Vivian, yet won't TALK TO HER. Also his mom pisses me off, she's doing it to herself at this point.

Ch 15-20: Their break-up was very random, yet sort of understandable. However; I hated the way Vivian easily forgave Niko during thanksgiving and went straight to having sex again instead of actually talking it out. How they can improve together, how they could make their relationship work, and more. Where is the development? Where is the empathy and common sense? It's like they only like each other because of sex.

Fifteen chapters in and it's not what I have expected after reading the description on the back. It is very fast paced for my liking, it barely goes in depth on Niko and Vivian's friendship. I wish we knew more about how/why/when Niko developed feelings for Vivian than reading his POV and reading how attractive he sees her. It's more lust than love. Especially having a sex scene the first 10 chapters.
