The next book in my poetry read/re-read.

This is a re-read from the pile of dug out poetry collections I found when reorganizing my books. I remember this being excellent focusing on the Roma/Traveller/Gypsy communities. Poet as witness. Poetry as protest.

The language is surprisingly plain, but works.

I found myself in a Bukowski mood recently, for reasons I don't quite understand so picked this up from the library. I read a chunk of Bukowski's novels in the 1990s but this came out in 2002 in the US and 2007 in the UK so I probably missed it. BTW Wenner Zergog is hardly the most subtle of cover names for a German film director.

This is another from my pile of rediscovered poetry books. This is a short collection. The actual page count, including acknowledgements is 57, but it start its count at 11. So we're really talking 46 pages or 33 poems. I read this back in 2023 when I was reading all the T S Eliot Poetry Prize shortlist but I can remember nothing about it and have not made a single note or highlight.
