This is increasingly becoming a raw and tender read. Very honest outlook on life with a budding family.

It's not the most well written book I have ever read. But it's doing its job of keeping me entertained while I try to get on the mend. It's interesting to me to read books that aren't thrillers and can still grab my attention. I will give the author credit for that and building suspense with the family dynamics, has kept me engaged throughout the story.

There are a lot of good new books coming out in October so looking forward to a cozy season of reading 😊

This is a classic Freda read. She is doing great at keeping me intrigued.

I can't wait until the race is over this weekend and I can really prop my feet up and enjoy this novel. 😄 My Monday next week is going to be some much needed TLC. Which of course includes some Freda and possibly a hot bath depending on how sore my muscles are after 12 massages and running 10 miles. Kelly, I know you enjoy our reading progress so hopefully you get a kick out of this one 🤣

Already so much more intriguing than my other book. What I appreciate about fredas thriller's is the lack of gory details, but building suspense.

Unfortunately this sequel has not been as captivating to me as much as the first one was. I am still determined to finish it and hoping it picks up. I really enjoy the different characters and older adults finding love :) I think it's time for a Freda next.

Oh how I love high school drama. Boarding school is next level 😅

Hoping to find out who finally did it. I can tell this is going to be 5 stars. I love it when an author who typically writes romance throws in some suspense along the way 😊

I try to balance out my thrillers with some lighthearted romance. However, Nicholas Sparks is surprising me a bit with this one, some mystery involved. Love it! 😀

These Karin Slaughter books are always so hard to put down 😄🙌

It's time for fall and spooky season, time to get back into my thrillers 😊🙌

One of the best thrillers I've read in awhile. So good. No idea how it's going to end 🤷

Back to my usual thrillers ☺️

Hoping to finish this today and then actually write my review of the book 😅 I got more into it towards the middle and Margaret's story has gotten more and more intriguing.

I'm really trying to finish this book but don't mean to click on read every time I update my progress 🤦

Got this one at a local bookstore in Port Townsend 😭 thankful for my sisters advice for a lighthearted romance since it's hard to stare at the ocean and enjoy a dark thriller 😅 holding a book and hearing the sea is a gift to my heart.

Hoping to finish this one today. I have enjoyed this drama, the story of grief and what happens when relationships get messy. It'll be interesting to see how it ends. ☺️

Only a few pages in and already loving the family dynamics and drama that is brewing. I think there is some character development taking place and it will be interesting to see how the family comes together during their time of grief.

Ok I already know this will be 5 stars. Leave it to the moms to solve the mystery 😅

Hoping to finish this one today 🙏😍 she might be grabbing my attention more than Freda McFadden these days ....

Oopsies did not mean to mark this one as finished, but I'm sure I will have it done in no time 😅 I have loved some of her books and not enjoyed others. This one has had me gripped from page 1 and I have no idea how anything will get resolved.

Back into my thrillers. The back and forth with this one is kind of interesting. I feel so bad for Charlotte who can't remember anything.

I know my sister will give me a hard time for updating my progress on page 23 😅 I needed a hardcover book, that would make me want to keep turning the pages. So far this one has already got me sucked in. 😍

Excited to get more into this and hopefully finish it over the next couple days. It's been a fun mystery without too many gory details.

My favorite character, Holly is what drew me into this story. Although, I'm not enjoying the political aspect of this book, there is always consistent suspense built with his stories.

Immediately sucked in. So far, it makes me glad I'm not vacationing to any cabins this summer 😅 Freda did not capture me as much as I hoped in her latest book, so I am exploring some new authors and of course still diving into my favorite storyteller, Stephen King. 🙂
