and just when i thought this book was getting boring.. she goes and cuts tonkees arm off??? what was that iron shard thing burrowing inside?? why could it talk?? was it the earth?? ugh i hate how in the dark this book makes me feeeeeel

i need to know what the silver threads are in schaffa. are they like hoa and antimony?? but like an evil version?? idkkkk i feel so in the darkkkk.

again, syen and alabaster! like the other pov of the woman and the kid and now another old woman just does not give compared to them!

syen and alabaster are my fave pov by a MILE.. THAT CHAPTER I JUST READ????!!!?????!!!!!?? genuinely so mind blowingly good. this is the best fantasy i've EVER read. like everything pales in comparison to what i just read. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF THE REST OF THE BOOK CAN COMPARE. i'm so so so so so glad i finally decided to read this omfg!

the hype is SO high for this book.
i like the second pov more than the first i think.
but i can't wait to fully understand all the terms and whatnot

idk how to feel abt this. i think taking such a huge gap made the stakes feel sm less than they are?? like i don't really understand what we're doing. collecting 2 halves of a book? to counter the cauldron. but what is the cauldron and why is it so bad?!?
where i am they're meeting these mortal queens bc they have the other half of the book. but like why do i care. idk maybe we'll see !

i can't even get to page 200. i'm dnfing now. too many books on earth for me to slog through a book i hate from a genre i double hate

i don't think i've ever cared less abt the mcs in book. once i get to page 200 i'm counting it as a full book and dnfing.

FINALLY THIS BOOK CAME IN ON LIBBY YES GODDDD

i'm literally SO sick and tired of these totally unfunny mcs going on and on abt how funny the other one is. babe, a lawnmower chest hair tattoo isn't laugh out loud funny. neither is a cursing parrot. ABBY JIMENEZ STOP MENTIONING HOW MUCH THE CHARACTERS ARE LAUGHING AND START MAKING ACUTALLY FUNNY JOKES. like it's so overly irritating how BORING these two are... hate to break it to my own self but this is def 1 star
