♡ 𝙥𝙧𝙚-𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙: did i abandon all my other current reads for this one just because i craved something spooky just for the sheer fact that it's september? maybe.

already made it this far so i guess i'll be finishing it, but even though i've tried and tried, i'm not really feeling this book. i can't connect with any of these characters, and beneath the pretty writing all i see is a very shallow and underdeveloped work. sucks because i had high expectations for this :(

such strange writing! very evocative and imbued with longing, but strange nonetheless.

i've barely had the time to read these last few days, so my progress on this one is awfully slow :( i'm savouring it much more than the first time i read it, though!

oh this book is the perfect way to end your day…so comforting yet achingly lonely at the same time 🌙♡ i love you my dear fuyuko (but on a side note, i do hope that friendship with mitsusuka doesn’t develop into something else bc he’s in his fifties and i’ve read way too many japanese novels with the younger girl/older man trope)

aaaa i’ve been wanting to read this for a while! ♡ the cover is absolutely beautiful and the synopsis seems to be right up my alley. let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint!

This is going to be slower to read than I expected. Reading some of her later works before this one highlights how her style was still a little bit clumsy in some places here, but to be fair she was only 19!!! seeing her evolution is almost a little endearing, mostly because the essence is still there

Either Lispector doesn’t give a fuck about grammar (I know she doesn’t) or the translation worsens it but the dialogues are a little confusing since the character’s voice and the narrator’s voice merge into one. With that being said, her prose is so dreamlike and achingly beautiful I can’t really complain.

i fear i’ve fallen in love with ms. lispector and i won’t be moving on any time soon <3 i have high expectations for this one!!

GRITÉ. el mejor plot twist del milenio

qué pena que me tenga que leer esto para clase y tenga que combinarlo con otros 50 libros :/ si no estoy segura de que lo estaría disfrutando más

este libro no me está acabando de convencer del todo y no se si es porque me estoy leyendo 80 cosas a la vez o porque verdaderamente no cumple con mis expectativas

ya sabía que me iba a gustar porque es nabokov pero es que menudas risas me está provocando este tipo….amo tanto los narradores poco fiables cuándo están bien escritos

el plot twist de wenzhi!!???!!!!!!! dios me ha encantado y ha hecho que tantas cosas tomasen sentido, sinceramente ahora entiendo lo poco que sabíamos de su pj y como siempre parecía demasiado perfecto. este tramo ha estado interesantísimo

durísima de leer pero super adictiva. la verdad es que desde que empecé a ver la serie supe que me tenía que ver el libro porque me ha hecho plantearme tantas cosas… no soy la misma persona desde que he conocido este universo la verdad

mmmmmm tengo sentimientos encontrados. creo que el triangulo amoroso podría haber sido ejecutado de una manera mucho más realista en este último tramo. me gustan los celos, pero la situación de que xingyin esté hablando con whenzi y liwei aparezca por ahi y se la lleve para que hable con ella (o al revés) se hace un poco repetitiva. sí me gustó mucho la parte en la que xingyin revela lo de su madre, eso sí

este trozo ha sido un poco pesado tbh…. todos los reencuentros con liwei si me han hecho mucha ilusión , wenzhi me cae bien pero la manera en la que la prota de repente deduce que tiene sentimientos por él es muy ???? no se, no le han dado el suficiente desarrollo y queda muy abrupto. aún así, sigue estando súper entretenido

estoy tan enamorada de este libro…. el capitán también es un trozo de pan lo amo con mi corazón y liwei celoso👁️ y lo bonitas que son las descripciones y lo vívido de las batallas y todo…. es que es perfecto
