listening to soft music & reading this book has been very good for the soul methinks

finished part one and i think i’ve found a new favorite <3

(side note: giovanni and cecile (bonjour tristesse) would 100% be best friends. i need a novel of them traveling italy and paris yesterday.)

anyone who's ever said this is the best book ever written was NOT lying! every page, sentence, word - all so beautifully & brutally intentional. it's a five star for me and i'm not even 100 pages in.

(spoilers ahead!) johnny and shannon are just about to have their first real conversation - but i can't help but look forward to shan's interactions with gibsie and claire more. this girl deserves an amazing friend group so much.
