Captivating so far.

Loving the Coco Puffs. And Will’s mother, Naomi.

It’s a strange and sad book. Her father has died and she blames every single other person except her father. He is the only one who truly could have changed himself. He wasn’t left to be homeless, he was in a family that rejected him emotionally and that is terrible. But he chose to handle that rejection with alcoholism and drug use repeatedly. After multiple rehabs. That’s no one else’s responsibility.

It looks like the Blue Angels are going to make an appearance. I live near the Gulf Coast and I’ve seen them perform. What a pleasant surprise.

Finally people telling her she was the victim but why after all the events leading up to this, do they need to do so? I am happy with the ending otherwise. It all ties up satisfyingly.

I’m (44) about the main characters age and what I think is, it’s the adults in the room who were primarily responsible. Yes, you now need to deal with your past but since you are now an adult (famous and well to do) and not 16, you should be equipped to do so. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Okay there’s a second, more sinister feeling, secret.

I’m a bit disappointed to find out what Tessa’s secret is.

It’s exciting. I do want to know the main character’s past and I am curious about what is happening. I enjoy books about Authors and book tours. So far, so good.

It took awhile to get into bc I’m new to what is the end of this series but it’s more exciting now.

I’m not sure yet if I’m loving it. I do love the idea of creating a nurturing place for foster children so I’m sticking to it. Also, there’s so many in the series that if I like it, I’ll have plenty to read in the New Year.

I’ve enjoyed it so far up until this bit where no one can seem to understand why this poor mother didn’t “get over” the sudden tragic death of her child. Hopefully compassion shows up.

“Generative consciousness” makes sense too.

So “interpersonal consciousness” is what I often experience. Good to have a label.

Is bright-icize a real word? I’m not sure but I love it. I don’t have this world view. I’ve seen so many things in life be terrible for people or literally not work out, like at all, that just keeping my realistic but slants positive perspective takes effort. But by learning this word I might try out the practice in bits and pieces.

CH 10: How do you serve a friend who is in despair? Tackling the hard stuff, that’s hard to find.

In reference to public schools dropping all effort at moral character formation in favor of testing and academics. That’s not totally true here in AL, our public schools do give out good character awards. My niece got one a few weeks ago and I was proud of her for it.

Nests is one of my favorite characters, so I am enjoying this book. We get more of her point of view, her struggle, and her development after the war.

I like this one the best so far. Feyre plays an involved role and it’s simply more exciting to me.

Well it took 600 pages but it finally got very good. And I’ll go ahead and pick up the next one.

Happy to see Feyre understanding her new found magical strength more and starting, ever so slowly, to lean into that. As we already know she possessed a strong inner strength that drove her in book one, I’ve been frustrated watching her development take forever.
