Read most of this in one sitting, only 50 pages or so to go. Really enjoying VanderMeers’ prose and style, every single thing is described down to the tiniest minutiae and he manages to build a very in-depth atmosphere that helps to fill the gaps where the story finds itself slightly lacking. But only slightly.

Got shouted at by a kid on the bus yesterday and almost had a menty b in front of them so I decided I can’t take the morning school bus after work. Now I have an hour of enforced reading time so I might actually hit my reading goals. Silver linings. (The book is great, btw).
