This book is more of a repetition of abuse and self loathing than a process of acknowledging the abuse and releasing herself from judgment. A shared bond of abuse should be liberating not debilitating. 10/10 an uncomfortable read because of the constant self criticism. Too many people failed her, namely her mother.

More of a repetition of abuse and self loathing than actual healing and mindfulness. Was hoping for more of a victory in terms of her acceptance of the abuse and acknowledging the ability to be greater than the pain.

Forgot why I like the movie better than the book until the end
