I don't understand why everyone is obsessed with this, so far it is incredibly bland. Evangeline has no agency. Its fine and all but definitely not better than Caraval (specifically the first book)

I wanted to read this so I could be informed hater but why is it actually good? People have called this sloppy and straight up porn but so far theres just been a legitimate plot and complex characters. Just goes to show how women cant have anything. A genuinely good, and layered book gets labeled as slop because it has sex in it as well.
