out of curiosity i caved and read the footnotes and it hit me that they were so when you were reading, you completely understood what was happening and why it was happening. you can be confused you know it's okay to be confused and figure out things by yourself in time goddamn

the footnotes are pissing me off "this is alluding to a prior event mentioned further in the novel" if you don't shove your context back down your throat, the lack of is what i loved about the sound and the fury don't take this from me
