I can’t stop underlining things because the writing is breathtaking and just so so good. This feels like sitting down to here a tale of life from both an old man and a young man experiencing it currently- not sure how both are possible at the same time🤯

My first re-read ever. My goodness Francine- I’m remembering why I loved this book so much the first time😍 Hadassah is so inspiring and real- I feel like I am right there next to her.

Really enjoying the slow, deep dive into his life and what made him into the man he was.

Very detailed account so far. Learning so much more about him compared to the generally known story.

This is a work of art right here. Such rich writing and I am so invested in the story, who the characters are, and what decisions they are about to make!

This is one of the best books about literature I’ve ever read- feels like I’m back in English class applying the life lessons from The Scarlet Letter or The Great Gatsby—wondering how fictional stories can teach us so much about life.
