The stranger is obviously a psychopath. He has no connection to the soul or the greater purpose. I notice that his response to situations is not my initial response. I can see his point but it’s interesting to have such a different perspective, but that why he thinks the way he does. Your perspective is your entire experience.

The way the author is describing the jobs makes me think of normal corporate America. I wonder what job a pilot is?

If you want to change how you see your problems, you have to change what you value and/or how you measure failure/success.
