Passed the Recovery Act to help stimulate the economy. “One term’s worth of work in a few months.” Both sides finding things to complain about after Obama had to work with “moderates” called the “Gang of Four” in order to get passed the Senate. Those four used their leverage to add personal aspects to the bill. Economy not fixed yet but it’s a huge start. Smaller housing specific bills also passed.

Obama put Hillary as Secretary of State. Was inaugurated. Delivered on easy campaign promises, banning torture and getting rid of Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba. Now time to find a solution to economic depression. Government going to pump money into the economy to encourage spending. Reps in favor of cutting taxes instead.

Pres. Bush is struggling with economic depression. Calls McCain and Obama in for meeting. Obama far more prepared, while McCain sent in knowing nothing. McCain opted to postpone campaigns while TARP legislation is up for vote. Dems. vote yes to uphold big mortgage banks. Win looks promising

Obama just got back from a trip to the Middle East. t opened his eyes up to the intense world duties of being president. Obama also chose Joe to be his Vice President over a young Sen. out of Illinois who was “too similar”. Joe talked for hours and seemed ready to be president if anything were to happen. Joe took the downgrade from his senator role only if, “he was the last guy in the room on each decision.”
