The opening of this book is just so lovely, sometimes I start reading it all over just to read the first chapter again.

“As a Scot and a Presbyterian, my father believed that man by nature was a mess and had fallen from an original state of grace. (…) and that only by picking up God’s rhythms were we able to regain power and beauty.”

I’ve known much about the beginnings of the 08 financial crisis but Geithner gives a good look at the politics and conversations during the crisis. So far it’s good.

It aight. More granular detail than Annie Jacobsen gets into in nuclear war. But it’s a dry read.
