I like that there are no chapters with his narration, I forgot how much I love it. The feeling of mystery and anticipation is simply on top. And the inserts with his thoughts at the beginning of each chapter are the chef’s kiss 🤌🏻

I'm betting all my money that she's his mate, I'm as sure of that as I am of anything else.

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of all these things where he calls her a whore and pays money, it can be fun, but for some reason I'm not thrilled here 😕

Every time I read about auctions, it seems so strange to me, even for the sake of charity, because people bet not thinking about it, but thinking about the person they are "buying". I don't know, it's a strange concept.
