But like all that talk about how church people lie why would you think a reverend would keep his word.. especially after what Abby said about him😭😭

Ok wtf why did Abby’s dad hire criminals to kidnap her when he’s the one who had her sent away and married off??

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read😭

And their banter OH MY GOD😆

And the kids are hilarious

Emily is talking about “I could kiss her” and them looking at each other and Emily talking about the way Blake smells and then just saying how it’s only because their “friends”😭 their so cute

Really loving the small town set up so far!

I like both Ruby and Elenor but their respective romances is not working for me, it feels thrown together for the sake of a bigger plot point idk

Enjoying reading both Ruby and Elenor’s perspectives so far and interested to see how their stories will collide !

So far a lot of setting up and a lot of telling not showing🫩

A lot of different perspectives from 2 assassins, 2 NYC detectives, the Serb gangsters, the older woman who’s helping the assassin’s?? It’s hard to keep up with😭
