This book is a warm breath of autumn air after my last book.

Slow and meandering but so heartfelt and warm. I saw a review that said it’s like a warm hug. Magical realism is one of my favorite genres. And this being during the 1920s adds to the charm and mysticism.

A dark romantasy with two morally grey main characters? Well sign me up. Death trials and mysterious pasts and demons.

Crazy good paranormal romance. The FMC is traumatized from years of abuse but the MMC is so healing.

Post apocalyptic Earth and secret sky giants? Super world building so far. Although I wonder how an Englishman made it to Alaska.

I’m struggling mightily to finish this for book club. I am not sure why I’m not enjoying it. I think it’s too much of a caricature. I can see why it’s supposed to be funny but I am not liking Finley. She’s a terrible mother and should send her kids to live with the nanny.
