Gosh. This last chapter got me right in the feels.

This is so much better than the first! The characters have more depth. I am genuinely intrigued by Elspeth. Renelm is the prince I am rooting for. Ione and this maiden card are full of deception and secrets. Nightmare & The Shepard king...im getting the impression they are not one in the same.
If I would have known that this book was so much better I would have paid more attention in the first book.

I have a prediction though- is she the villian?!

Still...not totally believable, but story is back on track. Sorta.

Not a spoiler ... but maybe not read unless you get really close to where I am.

All the way up to page 760 i was good! Enjoying the plot. I like what is happening between Helena and Kaine but - I cannot understand the "why" behind what just happened. It seams quite far fetched.

It has gotten A. Lot. Better! I am actually really enjoying the story at this point. The "healing" part of the story is actually good.
