Halfway through, this is such a detailed and expanded view of historical events we all have learned in our high school history books. It makes one wish there was just one full expanded history book the whole country could read as opposed to the various versions in different states.

I’m listening to the audio and it’s a rough listen now that he’s no longer alive. It’s heartbreaking knowing how deep his struggles were. Definitely taking listening breaks.

This is a tough read. My interest in psychological issues is what put this book on my radar. It’s very well written so far, but I have found that I need mental breaks from it. The woman at the center of this true story is just inexplicably horrible. I have not yet gotten to what her diagnosis is so I can’t speculate. What she did to her children, parents, friends, and husbands is beyond comprehension.

I’m enjoying this book so far. I have two feelings so far - the story is very interesting. I really want to see where this ends. Simultaneously I feel like there is way too much stage setting. I feel like I haven’t gotten very far and I’m halfway through. The concept and story are very very interesting though.
