I think the book is saying a lot of good powerful things yeah
But it also reads overly descriptive and it’s overly descriptive of everything. The story isn’t going because she scribing.
Into me, she’s using a lot of metaphors and analogies and artsy language to describe things which are really nice in the book. You don’t have to do that for everything though.

OK, almost 2 hours into the book the time that it took to explain the magic and what she does in the history of the wedding gown do you really have to do that that also feel like I was dragging, but I understand and see so for the world building aspect, magic system building understanding it’ll be good
The French lady was a kid when France was taken by the Nazis

The French lady used to be in the fashion business selling wedding dresses. She said that her families sell wedding dresses and they wear the chosen ones to do this and that they were always taught that their job is to make sure other people are happy and happy endings were for them. It was for others.

Her dad was cheating on her mom, dad left and now she told her mom saying you don’t know what it is like to lose a husband and don’t say that dad compares it not the same; her mom said you have no idea what I’ve lost
Her mom should’ve punched her dead in her teeth that was so inconsiderate and disrespectful

I did not know this book had anything to do with Greek gods goddesses or anything of like
I am going into this book completely blind
I’m reading it bc people say it’s a good book not knowing why they feel like it’s a good book because me and my dad just talked about this book and people liking it the other day
So we’ll see what it’s about, the beginning is summarizing the book itself…. I think

OK, they decided to do a dual view and jump timelines and I’m not a huge fan of this present day timeline in Boston so far
What they’re talking about is not interesting. They’re really dragging out the beginning of the introduction of this new character and I’m also not a fan of the readers voice.
It’s just the beginning feels like it’s dragon compared to the beginning of the French woman.

I’m only four minutes into the audiobook, but I feel like I’m really going to enjoy it and enjoy the riding so far a lot of analogies in comparison but I think I’m enjoying how it’s written

I really start books based on vibes with no background knowledge so I did not know this was going to be a Hitler war Nazi time frame zone kind of book
In other news, the person reading this audiobook has a very strong accent and at first I thought it was like an Asian accent, but they’re talking about being in France and Paris. I’m not sure what the accent is.

This book is not what I thought it was gonna be. I thought it was gonna be talking about different episodes in the show giving a little more context to episodes XYZ. The book was more so about self-love. Trust yourself, having confidence in yourself and being who you are truly on the Internet that you are in real life and also putting effort in attention into your real world relationships

I think this is literary fiction/ slice of life chatty kind of book so far
And this last section was a hit too much on her going on and on about bad sex and men’s thoughts and behaviors related to bad sex little much

someone said and the number of text on the slide and how many words this person said before they got to XYZ slide I think that was way too much towards the end of the book That I was just listening to it. Did you get it three out of five because I would be average I think was a bit better than that but it’s I wouldn’t say that I’ll sit and listen to this again.

I enjoy the book for the most part, So I’m giving it a three. I do think it was very helpful and educational and more background knowledge on how Ted talks are composed.
However, I did not expect it to go into detail and going over presentation specifically like how long the talk needs to be and how many times they reiterated that a going over talking pace and going over the number of words…

The Authors Note at the very end is very encouraging and a necessary reminder to give ourselves about believing in ourselves

When in preparation for giving a big speech rehearse in front of as many different audiamecs as you can and consider constructive criticism given to continuously improve delivery and material
Family, friends, parents, cousins, colleges, teachers

I listened to the last hour passive while walking around Marshalls.
Last few take away:
- don’t give a presentation / inspire an audience
- good speakers work at being a better speaker
- to be a better speaker you have to believe in what you’re preaching in your speech

There’s nothing wrong with this book but the last hr to 3 hours I’ve been over it. It literally gotten into how to give a speech to the particulates or why you should use video and pictures and word count and how many words this person used and how much text on slides xyz. Yeah helpful to someone I’m sure but needless to say I felt is was unnecessary to be so detailed

Bc the story was good but the last 40% was better and like I said wouldn’t jump to read again soon, nice for a light read on romance

Really good story
The messiness of the relationship was believable
The beginning was slow
Enjoyed but don’t think I’d necessarily read again

This book definitely got better as the story went on
Second chance romance, met in college, separated (he in a way ghosted her), crossed paths seven years later, they fall back in love (bc neither ever actually fell out of love with the other) and it’s beautiful even though the middle figuring out part was a bit frustrating and up and down and messy
Reminds of of Sir Dice and I

That was SUCH a sweet so sweet ending😢❤️
