The audiobook I’m using I’m using through Libby and I don’t know if it’s just this audiobook or all of them for this particular book but every few minutes music starts playing as if it’s supposed to be background music but it doesn’t seem to coordinate with anything and it’s too loud and it’s taking over the audio so that’s a bit distracting and doesn’t let the story flow

I’m remembering the story as you’re telling it. I’m 37 minutes in right now I not remembering what happens next, but as the store is going to feel familiar.

- they don’t know animals are or what that word means

Also, this book reads similar to the last book it’s just the main characters thoughts as they come in no particular order your new chapter you will go talking about a happy moment in marriage what she thinks about the divorce to talk to her friends to talk to her kids it’s just a ongoing section of thoughts

This is Alaina Maggie is in the title of the book which is the name of her dogs
Then there’s a paragraph on page 42 that says “I remember thinking that having a kid would also be a lot like having your embarrassment live outside of your body, and I personally do enough to embarrass myself on a daily basis, I could not imagine, letting in entity capable of embarrassing me just walk around like that “

Talking about people asking her if she wants kids and saying that that question actually has as many other questions and things that you have the knowledge like the world overpopulation the environment, orphans the safety of your children, financial ability, mental ability to do a lot of things that goes into having a kid

To be told that your husbands having affair when you thought everything was good and you were still in love is a very sad thing especially when admirev this person her son fell asleep on his lap, and then he carried him in house
“Though Noah was getting a little big for that Sam made it look so effortless being with my husband, was like that like being a kid being able to fall asleep on the ride home” pg 33

Sam who is the husband tells his wife and restaurant thinking she’s not gonna make a scene so he takes her out to tell her that and when she gets back home because he didn’t have a fever not that he just had a hard time is it been going on for a while and then she didn’t reflect that has this woman in our house has she just me because my house is in super tired he is she better than me XYZ that is awful

“ it hurt in an unexpected way, like doing yoga for the first time in a long while and realizing you can’t be in the way, you thought you could a new soreness” I this is after she said that she stay in the hallway and listen to the story. Their dad gives them after she already told him a bedtime story. That’s so sad.

How do I didn’t want to know that I booked the subject is obviously isn’t exciting or happy or in high spirits because it’s talking about her find out that her husband time to figure dealing with all the children. I’m sure he’s gonna go once you with that’s gonna tell, but I do like the writing style how she freezes thing through metaphors her analogies I think it’s really fun reading it.

At the beginning of the book before he tells her that he’s having affair, and that they’ll be splitting up snitches as she tells her kids a bedtime story every night and then every night their dad goes and tells them a different story, and I kind of takes way the moment that is with your mom in outshining kind of way that’s fair on everything to do with your partner it’s a competition with your children

They explain he’s controlling all the time that he wants a story that fits perfectly to what he wants at the time whatever and what to do in the time that’s what he does so in his head he can’t just justify the fact that he cheated on his wife with someone else because he wanted to meet and tell his work that is going to be over as well with him because it’s just not at the story he wants anymore

Call Chasidy for right now and the wife I’m not sure what her name is told Noah their son that her and his dad are splitting up now the day is walking around the house being passive aggressive, close the cabins a little hard and they should be not talking to make an iContact because he’s mad that she told her without him the one we get up because he knows he’s in a roll between his wife he’s awful

although he had a wife for decades someone who loved him cared for his parents raised his children,he didn’t really get to know her until the very end not knowing that it was the end
He talks about a homeless man who is killed by children, googled that to find out in the 90s. It was a thing in Tokyo, that children, middle school high school would kill homeless people “for fun” “relieve stress”

because his 60s they were better off his wife had saved money. They were comfortable enough and then one morning he woke up and she would usually already be awake and she wasn’t. He went to shake her and she was cold, and his wife passed away in her sleep, and he had had seven years with her but previous to that of the 30+ years before being married, he hadn’t even been able to spend a total year with her.

After being away from home for many years, leaving when he was 12 he returned home late 50s early 60s I don’t remember the exact age he was finally able to be home with his wife, but at that point his daughter was grown and out of the house with her own family, and he had never been able to be right. His son, and in youth almost had passed away, so he was with his wife And a friend told him consider it a honeymoon

He’s been working since he was 12 away from home because his family to have a lot of money so he started working young. He has a wife has two children that he does not see often at all. His son died when he was 21 he had recently just passed his radiology exam, and then short time later, he was found dead in his apartment, and then, although his wear in the 90s, his parents then passed away

Who the sound of traffic to the people has met through the history of the park that he lives in the history of the monuments in the museums that’s around him the wars that have happened other people have passed away in his life in or in his community

He transitions from talking aboutwhen he is alive to a time looking online, not being alive sporadically throughout the book there’s no clear indication you just know as you’re reading the next sentence, and he talks about those little things in life that you look back on you remember you see like people watching or hear otherwise conversation understand what’s going on other peoples lives The sound of traffic

Everything happens. This is me and the story starts and he’s already dead and he’s reflecting on life and that itself can be fine and that way it’s very literary fiction. Slice of life which I do enjoy those types of books so even though it’s very sad for me. I am enjoying it and he goes through talking in and out of him being alive and him not being alive.

This book is so sad to an unreal degree for me personally because I do not read sad books not only do not read often I don’t read them. I don’t know the saddest book I’ve read in the last two or three years that I’ve gotten back into reading because I don’t recycle books nothing against them that’s just never what I’m going for

That’s really funny. They say they have to the sea of monsters and mention that it’s the same sea that Odysseus had to sail through, which is a reference to the Odyssey
And when they explain where it’s at, he said it’s a Mediterranean Sea and that humans have a name for it and said it’s a Bermuda triangle
That was cute, I thought that was funny.
