I have never seen the Broadway musical of this, but I have seen the 1st movie.
This book is a slog in comparison, not to mention moments of that male author stereotype of writing women "their boobs were boobily" and apparently every female character is mean.

So far, I don't really get the hype of this book

Is it weird to like a book because of its viciousness

As someone who has notoriously struggled with classic novels, I think I have finally found one I really liked.

I am slowly going to start this while finishing up Legendary by listening to the audiobook whenever I am doing domestic tasks.
Just worried I am going to slow and won't complete all my Magical Readathon books in time

I always love a book which isn't a blatant horror but has undercurrents of horror to it

Something I am reminded while reading this book, that what I love about books aimed at middle schoolers is that they aim to teach you things as well as tell a story.
I have loved learning about swans in this book so far - particularly northern hemisphere swans, which I knew not that much about since we only have black swans here.

Chapter 48 is such a waste of paper. A lot of these chapters are. It just seems the author was trying to meet a page quota

You would think by 400 pages a lot has happened but nope, not much.
This really could have been condensed and saved trees.
