I think she writes the imagination of a teenager with perfection and probably from personal experience. It's a younger take on Miller's Girl in Alaska.

This one might be better in print. I'm catching on but it was a bit confusing to follow in the beginning.

I was enjoying it up until she identified "purpose" as a make identifier and "desire" as a female, when I'm actually, it's the other way around. Desire should be identified as male since men are the ones that can't stand being in a room with a woman without sexualizing her, and purpose as female because women get shit done.

I dig it.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate this FMC. She's just as bad as the FMC in Sparks of the Everflame. If you think about it, she's acting like a man. Entitled, ignorant, oblivious, arrogant as much as she tries not to show it. The constant monologue about her looks. The indirectness of not voicing her thoughts and expecting a different result. I won't DNF it just so I can give it a bad review. Horrible.

Period pieces like this annoy the fuck outta me. Mostly because even though women are still being treated like shit at this time, they were treated like fuckin garbage juice from a landfill back in the day. Holy shit I'm so furious for these women, and fuck annabelle. I don't even want to capitalize her name because fuck that bitch.

It's very validating as someone who's working on herself and putting boundaries up especially with work.
