I keep leaving this book in different rooms or throwing it in my bag on my way out the door. reading a few pages at a time. I would describe it as thought provoking. transparent. It makes me want to annotate for the first time in forever.

easy to love parisien ambience and gilded-cage flavored depression. looking forward to the protagonist maybe getting into some feminist guerrilla graffiti…

this is great so far. i really like mei. and all the characters and dialogue feel so familiar and real. also love how yang tells a non-linear story.

I dare one of yall to cook every silly little recipe in this book like you’re Julie from Julie and Julia

I like it but I wish Jane would describe like one scene or person and what things look like lol
