I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK! i can’t put it down but i’ve got work tomorrow. what’s one more chapter!??

i’ve struggled this month with finding the right book to fit this month’s theme of african american history. i tried the color purple, but i couldn’t get past the broken language after reading something as sophisticated as pride and prejudice. it’s not the book’s fault at all; i just don’t think it’s the right time for me to read it when i’m trying to find the joy in reading again. (1/3)

end of chapter five. initial thoughts:
past in one chapter. present in the next. alternate those, and you find connections in different lifetimes. i know that story plot is reused time and time again, but god doesn’t it draw you in. the trials and tribulations between the past and present stories differ but are so similar at the same time. i LOVE this book!

already to chapter 3 and i’m hooked! i want to know - is echo’s mom really a wizard or is it all make-believe?

i’ve met mr. collins. idk how i feel about him. :/

thank god for audiobooks. it’s hard to follow dialogue in this book but the narrator is AMAZING.
