I have an anxious dog and a Goodreads goal so here we go

I wasn’t feeling it in the beginning and couldn’t understand why this book is so popular. But it’s growing on me so I’ll see where it goes.

One thing I will say (spoilers ahead) why are so many people dying just in the competition?? They could so easily add some safety nets or something. Can’t people just fail the tests and be out of the competition?? Soo many people have died already!

The last chapter I read ended with the line “our father was man who had never met his own wife” and that just about sums up where all the plot in this book comes from.

I’m really enjoying the story so far though. I have lots of thoughts but will save them for when I finish the book.

By far the best book in the series. The world building in the others was good but gets interrupted by the plot (war), this one is able to take it further, which is my favorite part. And Nesta’s arc is so enticing to read!
