It was a very good book until about halfway, but there were parts near the end that seemed unbelievable and hard to follow.

I rarely give reviews, but this was nearly a DNF for me. I have studied this period of history before and know it well so I was looking forward to reading this book. I was very disappointed. I stuck with it in the Hope that the ending would get better, but that was disappointing as well.
Her main character was unlikable and the opposite timelines was annoying.

Very good. Slow first half, but great ending.

Like Romeo and Juliet, it has two plots within the same novel. It took quite awhile to get into it and for that reason, I’d give it 3/5 stars.
