The “Collins” he says he “never heard of again” was John Collins, a delegate to the continental congress and brief ruler of Rhode Island. Franklin was a bit catty.

I feel like my reading (and for this book, my method of reading) is slightly nerfed by my inability to tell if a poem is “good” or not.
