Never would have thought how Fortnite would be in a book so much. Love that the author highlights the complexities and nuance of sex work, custody battles, cps, drug use, grooming, and family conflict. The character is painfully annoying at first but her development makes her better.

This book showed the extreme nuance of someone going through childhood as transgender and the nuances and complexities of raising a transgender child. The balance of protecting and shielding the child from the world and needing to prepare them at the same time.
