Not to be dramatic, but if I was Evander I think I'd of either offed myself or everyone else at Hazelthorn before it got to this point.

Move over Victor Frankenstein, Taylor and Robby have now made it to the top of my Shit List this year.

I thought the John Green was trying to be quirky by writing in the margins and then I realized that the LIBRARY COPY was just heavily annotated by a previous reader 😭 They're not even good notes! *waves fist in the air*

Victor Frankenstein when I get my hands on you....

Frankenstein when a loved one is on trial for murder and will thus be executed for it, but he has the chance to reveal that he created a monster of his own making and hasn't told a soul about it for months: 🤐

"There was a long pause, and I knew Brian felt he was owed an apology. 'Sorry,' I added reluctantly. 'Forgiven,' he said," *and here is where I rolled my eyes* "and I surprised myself by rolling my eyes." LMAO. When you and the main character are in sync. 🤣

If you stare into the abyss, Delilah Zeng stares back. And she will eat you.

Had this on my TBR for a bit and completely forgot about the premise.. safe to say that first chapter had me shook. Sometimes my habit of going in blind when in comes to books is an asset.

Picked this out because I wanted to get into the Scotland vibe but so far I'm having a hard time ~getting into~ the book.. gonna give it a bit more time and see if it sticks. Ditching the audiobook has helped some, though. Apologies to the narrator.

The CPR scene? Ribs? Cracking? That happens???? Absolutely not. Nope. No thank you. I'm good. Do NOT have a medical emergency around me, I'm not doing all of that.

At the annoying bit where the characters won't say how they really feel and it feels like wading through water just to get through it.

Olive is no longer my enemy. Truce initiated.

Olive is actually starting to piss me off and I hate that I'm defending a Man. Girl, grow up! He's just doing his job!

Since when are henley shirts supposed to be sexy?

During the first part from Harker's journal all I could think of was that Tiktok someone made as Count Dracula running around pretending to be the driver, the chef, and the servants.

Alright, now we're getting to the good part (yearning).

So far liking this one way better than the first book, just wish they weren't like.. literal teenagers 😟

Giving this series a shot since I haven't seen the show yet and want to see what they hype's about. Not much so far, but tons of smut. Ready for the conflict to hit..
