i have a lot of thoughts and opinions..like am i crazy or is this devoid of any feeling?
the characters feel so two dimensional and i kinda hate them. they don't really make any sense, their actions dont feel connected to any well thought out emotion, and they arent fully developed imo. plus they are insanely annoying..like the whole nonchalant narrative worked for Nikolai but here its..juvenile and overdone

started like 2 hours ago, not sure how i feel yet but were just getting started.

so far this is like a solid 2.5-3 star for me. idk why but it just isnt living up to everything I've heard. it's not..bad? but it is mediocre and personally i dont feel the emotions of it. guess its just not working for me. gonna finish it though just to give it a shot.

I do not like this. I dont loathe it either. its just not good, but its a mindless read after a few really heavy ones. gonna finish it but still, not good 😅 dont know why theres so many 5 stars, respectfully.

I never run two books at once since I read so fast but I need a light one to balance out immersed, I can already tell ill need mindless sports romance breaks from that one.

I genuinely do not think I have ever hated two characters more. I feel bad because EVERYONE seems to love this book and idk..I dont loathe it but i have guessed every single thing that happens so far and think that Milo and Jay are so infuriatingly dumb for two people who are supposed to be geniuses.

maybe the last 100 pages will change my mind, but I dont feel like much can change after 473 already. ugh.

okay wrapping it up for the night. started and got up to 153 pages today, not bad. kinda wanna savor it for a few days as im intrigued, but idk if ill be able to set it down tomorrow lol. we'll see.

made it a little less than 50 pages during my shift, annotated the fuck outta it though. having fun with this one so far. def gonna be a book I finish quickly, the chapters are paced in a way that makes it easily digestible to rip through without realizing how many you've gone through.

starting my 3 hour shift of sitting silently with a client on lage 59, want to see how far I get by the end lol
