This book is keeping me on my toes

im torn…I gravitated towards this but there is just an abhorrent & tone-deaf depiction of her wealth, that completely overshadows her grief. I didn’t expect her writing to feel so detached, but I can respect anything that is true to feeling in real time, especially when it comes to loss.

so far…her writing is quite detached & emotionless. There is an excessive description of her wealth & unexamined privilege, which is disappointing me. I am holding out for more depth from didion
