The writing in this is really not great ... almost 50% of the way through the book and there has yet to be a clear physical description of either main character beyond their eye colors and the color of the FMC's hair (which wasn't provided until 50 pages in). In one chapter, it's apparently a beautiful summer day and then, in the next (which is supposedly the next day), it's the middle of winter....

Had the option to check this out without needing to wait for it to become available and I'm trying to keep an open mind, despite the horrible reviews and tendency for extremely popular booktok books to be poorly written ....

Alrighty this one is off to a rough start... aside from one of the main character's being deeply unlikeable from the very beginning, I counted ELEVEN random character's being introduced into the story in the very first chapter. If the rest of the book continues like this, I'm probably going to lose my mind just from trying to keep track of all of the names

I’m not even entirely sure this should be classified as a romance novel ? The relationship between the main characters is developing more off the page, with the subplot taking up most of the on-page writing. Overall, underwhelmed so far
