A man is going back home for a funeral (opal miner who lived in his old room), he stops by Hempstock House and remembers a girl he used to spend time with. She was magical and said that he pond was an ocean. The boy found a shilling in pond and had a nightmare that same night. He wonders what has happened, and the girl shows him the magical world. Says opal miner might be sending a message.
