What a mind opening book,
yes the number of lives we could have lived is infinite, but the number that would actually feel meaningful is much smaller.
We tend to romanticize the “what ifs” as if every different choice we could’ve made would’ve unlocked a sudden happier version of us but in reality those lifetimes would still contain times of boredom, regret and sadness, just under different circumstances

Something that the writer really does capture is the clinical atmosphere, I feel on edge and cold, the book feels so cold and makes me feel so uneasy yet i cant seem to be able to stop turning the pages
