i like that the author took two things you’d otherwise overlook (the road, ongoing environmental destruction) and made them refreshing to read about and moving! nicely written; deeply researched. occasionally pretentious diction tho that doesn’t work

such lively + enthusiastic writing! fun to read and often funny. i’m jealous. also impressed by how deeply researched this book is.
