Her father sucks. She’s growing closer to the widow and just found out that the weird dreams she’s been having were shared by the widower. The grey dog was finally mentioned. I found out why she’s running from her past. Her last housing situation’s husband roped her and then Ada was blamed for it.

Very good so far. Learning about the main character, Ada Byrd, as well as her students and neighbors. Right now her new friend, Agatha, seems to be blossoming quickly. The Griers who Ada boards with are pleasant. Everyone in the town seems to be just the same except for one widow who everyone turns their back to. Not sure why yet.

Onto part 3

Amazing!! I’ve always been fascinated by Theodore Roosevelt’s life. Getting a true deep dive on his upbringing and way of life is a rewarding. It makes me wish I took the Naturalist route myself. If only I had found this book 6 years ago
