Essie is 75% done with The Hobbit: Or There and Back Again (Middle-Earth Universe)

I don't know how I've never marked this one as "read" on this site. I received this gorgeous collection for Christmas and used it as an excuse to re-read the series. My only complain (cause I'm apparently an old woman now) is that the font is tiny! But the illustrations are amazing, and I love the binding!

I have to put this book on pause until after the term is over, but so far this is fantastic! It's super fascinating, and it's surprisingly well written! I haven't actually enjoyed reading most of the books for this term because of their awkwardness, but Botsman writes beautifully, even if the subject is grotesque.

I have to finish this book today.... and I'm just not motivated. It's well written and all but I'm just thoroughly uninterested in reading about the relationship between the state and land in ancient Japan right now. @___@
