139 pages to explore a freudian mother daughter relationship where the daughter loses herself to madness as she uncovers the mysteries of her mothers death! i think ferrante challenged herself to this length as her other works are hefty reads, and i think ferrante favors better to the openness of longer novels! the language was to stunted to feel flushed out 4 me.
