“People said Ove saw the world in black and white. But she was color. All the color he had.” (pg 45)

“Everything else on the paper is drawn in black, but the figure in the middle is a veritable explosion of color. A riot of yellow and red and blue and green and orange and purple. ‘You’re the funniest thing she knows. That’s why she always draws you in color’…” (pg 212)

The feels have been hit.

I needed a beach book for vacation because I read the other one too fast so I picked this up for $1.99 at “Thrift Store” I’m not joking that was literally the name of the store and all I can say is I’m so thankful I wasn’t born and raised in southern Louisiana because WOW not a light read but appalling and interesting for SUREEE.

Enjoying this book way more than I expected to. Great vacation read. I have angst of a potential affair but feel fairly confident the author is just trying to make me feel that way and it won’t actually happen. TBD!!!

Definitely my least favorite in the series so far. I want Gilbert back.

WHO WAS GOING TO TELL ME BAPTISM IS LIKE CUCUMBERS BEING SUBMERGED IN VINEGAR SO THAT THEY COME OUT OF THE “WATER” AS A PICKLE AND NO LONGER A CUCUMBER!!!!! Pg. 133 is speaking to my soul.
