genuinely don’t know where this is going and I’m sad that I’m already assuming a disappointed ending considering the beginning-middle of the book was entertaining

felt like we started losing the plot around 130 something. not sure what this whole volleyball arc is about but hoping it leads to something important to the storyline cuz I feel like there’s so many things that could be continued or added onto that have been finite details (could be better material to establish more into?)

intrigued by the idea of the relationship going sour. seems like they both hate each other but disguised it as love or infatuation.

gay magic sister arc is fun so far but the protagonist private detective sister is so woe is me and it’s getting boring/annoying 🥱

lots of new characters with backstories arrive quickly once the gardens location is introduced into the main characters plot lines. hard for my lil short term memory to keep up with at first but the characters are charming
